Right from an early age I knew I wanted to do art. I made my own puppets at the age of 14 and put on a puppet show in a neighbours garage. I first attended Art College in Dublin and on moving to the UK in 1960 attended Saint Martin's College of Art. My first job was with an advertising agency in London as a commercial artist.
In those days before the advent of computers everything was done by hand.
I became a dab hand at magic marker layouts.
Over the years I moved up the ladder and became an Art Director and eventually Creative Director. I then ran my own agency for 10 years before retiring in 2004. I now have the freedom to do whatever I like and that includes portraiture, modelmaking, and sculpture to name but a few.
